Valid Gaming was founded by Jesse Foss in November 2011 to give the casual gamer’s opinion a stronger voice in the gaming community. The heart of Valid Gaming lies in the every growing Gaming Industry. We offer 100% honest and detailed opinions in each and every review we share with the community. Valid Gaming covers both Video Game reviews, previews, rumors, special interest articles, and gaming peripheral reviews. We post on a weekly schedule from Monday through Friday to always keep fresh and informative content. Each review is a validation in the gaming industry that leads towards a more validated gaming future for all gamers everywhere.

 

About the Founder

Jesse Foss | Founder, Writer, Designer, Public Relations.

I find gaming not to be just side leisure or something you do when you don’t want to do work, but rather, a way of life in which you constantly show progression through skill and ability. I’ve been fascinated with video games for as long as I can remember. From relentless assaults to beat the Metal Gear Solid series, to the constant frustration but enjoyment with Super Mario 64, you could say it’s in my blood by now. If not, I could perhaps inject some plasmids to further convince you, and when I die from my incapability, just throw me a phoenix down and all will be good to go. I write reviews for the latest video games because it supports the knowledge network that surrounds such games to further suite the gamer. I write previews for indie games not even out of development yet to support their quest through the progression of the gaming industry and to promote new creativity into the scene. I am a gamer for the gamers. With that said, Game on my friends.

The Valid Gaming Crew

Valid Gaming is a project of mine that I started…all alone… in a dark..cardboard box, waiting for the world to notice. Fun fact for you, cardboard boxes are well known in the ‘verse for being completely undetectable by the human eye. These people below are the ones who saw this lonely yet ultimate weapon of a cardboard box and said, “Hey, you see that box… yea, that box.. Now that’s a box that will one day be a cardboard arcade and bring entertainment to the masses! Let’s join in on this adventure!”
So now, you have about 10 people in this little box but HEY, it’s not nearly as lonely as it once had been. The only issue now is the smell…
These awesome members do their best to bring you quality content, as well as cheap laughs and dirty feelings. What more could you want from geek box central?

Since graduating university with a BA(hons) in Computer Games Design and Story Development I have worked with Valid Gaming to branch out into the wide world of Youtube and Podcasts. I live in London, England and I even run Valid Gaming board game nights in a pub. (it took me 6 months to realise that it was a front for fully licenced sex club downstairs).

I am a member of the increasingly less elusive female gamer tribe, born from a long proud line of female gamers! I have been playing games since I was a youngster, full of innocence and sunshine, pumping bullets into the Doom monstrosities.
As a lady gamer, I felt the need to join the team and help put in my rather opinionated two cents in. I’m no Yahtzee, but I can be very critical of a game, given my long years of gaming successes and fails.
I recently got engaged to another gamer, through a video game!
My interests include movies, zombies, non-sparkly vampires, dogs and debating about religion and the impending Apocalypse! This is starting to sound like a strange dating game, and I am stuck as contestant number 1.
I have been very busy with life (as we all get to be) but I hope that everything will settle out and I will be able to play more games, write more reviews, and continue to serve the gaming community!

I believe that video games are amongst the greatest forms of artistic expression. The aspects of painting, cinematography and music (among other things) that are combined into the making of a video game give this medium a wide girth of possibilities. I began my gaming career dodging barrels in the original Donkey Kong on the NES and continued to avoid the real world throughout my childhood with such friends as Bomberman, Spiro the Dragon, and Jak and Daxter. These days I prefer fighting ancient sentient robots from beyond the Milky Way or spear heading a revolution with little more than a crowbar and a PhD at my disposal. That combined with my habit of taking on any and all projects presented to me keeps my schedule pretty full. Despite that I continue to take on everything Valid Gaming has in store. But don’t worry about me, I’ve got a pocket full of mentats and a passion for the game industry to keep me going.    ”Expect the worst, hope for better.”
